Peter William Vineyard NEWS!

Peter & I have been busy over the last month, doing barrel sampling and blending sessions with our winemakers for our new wines that will be released over the next year. EXCITING STUFF IS IN THE WORKS!

There will be some limited release wines that will be offered first to our “Club” members. Wait…you’re not a member…well, that’s no surprise, as the club hasn’t yet been created! We’re working on the details now, but if you want to be included as a member, please send us a direct message & we’ll let you know when that’s announced.

We’re excited about all our upcoming releases, but a handful of them warrant some particular notes and attention. Here are some of the most exciting things you’ll see/smell/sip over the coming months:

    · Peter William Vineyard on the “Hill” at Britt this year!  We’re proud to announce that we’re partnering with Brittfest to pour our 2018 Tempranillo at Britt events this year!.

    · 2019 Tempranillo Rosé (projected release: March 2020). A beautiful pale color, the wine is fresh, bright and delicious. A great summertime wine!

    · 2018 Tempranillo “Lot S” (projected release: March 2020). This wine is EXTREMELY limited, made from our grapes by our friend Scott Steingraber of Kriselle, only 24 cases produced. In future vintages, we may designate this as one of our “PWV Reserve” wines…it’s that good!

    · 2019 Viognier “Daisy Creek Vineyard” (projected Release, June 2020) – our first release of Viognier, this is a seriously good wine made to our specifications by our friends at Barrel 42.

    · 2018 PWV Reserve Series “Syrah Reserve Lot B-42” & also “Syrah Reserve Lot D” (projected release: Fall 2020). These two wines are both outstanding, quite a step above our excellent regular Syrah releases. Both are different, you’ll want try them together to see how the approach of different winemakers approaches affects grapes from the same vineyard

    · 2018 PWV Reserve Series “Tempranillo Reserve Lot D” & “Tempranillo Reserve Lot W” (projected release: Fall 2020). Another chance to try our reserve level wines – same vineyard, same vintage, with the approach of two different winemakers.

    · 2018 PWV Reserve SerieMalbec (projected release: Fall 2020). Think our initial release of Malbec was great (it was). The 2018 regular Malbec will be even better…but this PWV Reserve version is indeed very special, with 100% French Oak & rigorous selection process to make a limited run of some pretty special stuff!

    · 2018 PWV Reserve Series “Extravagance” Proprietary Reserve Red (projected release: Fall 2020). This is serious, well…extravagant stuff. More to follow on this wine, but you won’t want to miss it!

I think I’ve tasted enough samples in the last month to permanently stain my esophagus purple. I’ll have to consult with my gastroenterologist to find out if that’s a problem. Time for a good beer now.
