For our Peter William Vineyard wine glasses, we’ve chosen to use a selection from the famous German crystalware producer Schott Zwiesl. Schott Zwiesl was one of the pioneers in making fine crystal glasses without the use of lead. Rather than lead, their glass is instead fortified with Titanium, which makes them unusually strong. We’ve taken their “Forte” glasses & embossed them with the Peter William Vineyard name.

You have your choice of two sizes:

• 13.7 oz (404ml) – suitable for White, Rosé, or Red Wines – one of the most versatile sizes available (a set of six of the same glass without the Peter William name sells for $70.85, which is $11.08 per glass)
• 17.4 oz (514ml) – A larger glass, best suited for Red Wines.

The Forte glasses are a perfect balance of style and durability. Can you buy thinner, more delicate crystalware? Sure (usually for a lot more money!), but we think you’ll agree that it is an excellent glass with a nice shape & thin rim. It is also unusually strong for quality crystal, and is rated as “dishwasher safe.” Fred’s been using their glasses for years, and always cleans them in the dishwasher, with almost no breakage (nothing in life is perfect).

These are the same Schott Zwiesl glasses that you’ll find at Amazon & other retailers for much higher prices. The only difference is the etching of our name “Peter William Vineyard” on the glass.
